DISTURBED Drummer Explains Why He Hasnt Tied The Knot Yet
August 14, 2006Launch Radio Networks reports: DISTURBED drummer Mike Wengren proposed to his future wife nearly a year ago, on August 31, 2005, onstage in her hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Since then, however, the couple have not managed to seal the deal. Wengren told Launch what's been holding up the big day. "Ironically, our date that we had set then, when she said yes, was June 29th of '06, which turned out to be the very first date of Ozzfest this year," he said. "So we've had to postpone it a couple of times because of touring plans and, you know, as of right now, we're gonna push it back a year, until the touring's out of the way. It just doesn't make sense to try and squeeze it in."
Ozzfest, which DISTURBED co-headlined this year, finished out this summer's run last night (Sunday, August 13) in West Palm Beach, Florida.
DISTURBED next heads to Europe and is also planning its third Music As A Weapon tour for this November.
DISTURBED's latest single is its cover of the GENESIS hit "Land Of Confusion", from the band's "Ten Thousand Fists" album.
